People are looking for a place where they can belong; where they are accepted for who they are, regardless of the color of their skin, the clothes they wear, the amount of education they have, or how much they make. They want to be where they can experience the love of God in their lives and be a channel of His love to others; where they can grow in His grace; and where they can serve Christ with the gifts He has given them. That’s what we’re about at Providence, and we would like for you to be a part of it.
There is really nothing special about us. We’re just a group of people who have found new life in Jesus Christ and want to share it with you. We don’t have a big gymnasium, a rock band, or a fancy building. But what we do have is perhaps more important than all that, and much more important.
First of all, Providence is firmly rooted in historic Christianity, committed to standing in the faith of our fathers. We eagerly embrace the ancient Creeds and Confessions of the Church.
Second, we are passionately committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others, beginning in our own neighborhood, but in distant lands as well.
Third, we are committed to worshipping God, not according to the latest trends or fashions, but in a manner consistent with Biblical teaching.
Fourth, we are committed to developing and maintaining a sense of ‘community’ – where people don’t get lost in programs.
